The New Year calls for new destinations…want to travel like a seasoned nomad? Let us be your guide on packing right, light and in style (of course!). Here’s our recommendations on how to pack like a jetsetter.
Pick a durable hard case bag that’ll not only be able to withstand the changing environment, it also avoids contents being pressed down too much from any added pressure. Plus, they’re non-expandable, which means lighter packing (God forbid you over stuff your bags and have no room for travel purchases).

Don’t pack anything you “think” you’ll want to wear. Take into account the number of nights and days you’re packing for and pack only essentials. Sure, having extra options is great, but if you want swift travels (like a jetsetter), minimal baggage is best. In any case, you can always shop additional items you may need (hey, any excuse to shop is reason enough for us!).
Pack shoes that can go from day to night with ease – sneakers are great for dashing through the airport and exploring, as are slip ons and loafers that are stylish and comfortable. And don’t let the space in your shoes go wasted when you can pack accessories and smaller items in them.

To avoid the hassle of looking for an iron and ironing board on your holiday (plus, those things can be tricky to work), pack clothes that are less prone to crease. Ideally, your travel clothes are the ones which are durable, takes up minimal space, wrinkle-proof and easy to match with other items.
Organize and pack everything separately: gallon zip lock bags are inexpensive and protects from color transfers, scrunching or snagging. Fold or roll separates to maximize space/minimize crease and make it easy to unload at your destination. Getting everything out as soon as you arrive at your destination avoids items buried at the bottom of the bag from going unnoticed. For toiletries, zip lock bags again are invaluable for avoiding spillage and keeping everything visible.

Place things you may need upon arrival at the very top: swimwear, sunblock (so you can hit the beach ASAP) and chargers. It’s best to pack all chargers together in a labelled zip lock bag for easy access (don’t forget the adapter if you’re going overseas!).

Introducing GEM WATER at Intrigue Fine Apparel
Quite simply, it’s any water enlivened by gemstones. By the time water gets to us through municipal systems or plastic containers, its natural vitality and structure becomes dulled and muted. You can use our collection of VitaJuwel Gem-Water Bottles, Vials, and Droplets to restore the natural structure of everyday drinking water.
Just add water… Each product incorporates a sealed glass gempod or vial filled with a unique gemstone blend, providing a convenient and hygienic way to transform everyday tap, filtered, or bottled water into gem-water in just 7-10 minutes. The unique gem blends are designed to transform your water and support your mind, body & spirit.
We all know that proper hydration is immensely important to keeping our bodies functioning at their highest potential, so a healthy water habit is a must. But we’re talking transformation here! The energy of the gems actually restores the crystal structure to a quality comparable to water straight from a natural spring while also boosting the water’s alkalinity (pH level) and increasing its oxygen content. That means greater support for glowing skin, stronger hair & nails, and a healthy immune system.
Why tote a water bottle that just transports your ‘dead’ water when you can carry one that’s full of gorgeous gems constantly working their magic? And frankly, we could all use a little more magic in our lives!

Dear Annette & Debbie, Off-the-shoulder tops and dresses are practically everywhere, and while I love the shape, I wonder if it’s too late for me to commit to the trend. Is it on its way out? Is there a way I can make it feel fresh? —Morgan W.
Dear Morgan, We are of the belief that the cold shoulder isn’t going anywhere—and for good reason: it’s feminine, creates a beautiful silhouette, and elevates everything from cutoffs to jeans to dresses. The other good news is that there are so many fresh iterations of the trend, whether you want to keep it demure or pump up the volume, there’s something for every comfort level here at Intrigue.
If you’re apprehensive about revealing too much for the office, or just like to keep it simple, opt for a top or dress that shows off subtle slivers of collarbone and décolletage. Pair with a platform shoe and add a dramatic earring to finish.
Straps, ruffles, and asymmetrical details are the next step. Ultimately, these necklines are more festive and make the most sense in a dressed up scenario; you’ll want to balance the intricate details with subdued classics—pencil skirts work particularly well, even denim.
We love the drama here. These elaborate blouses can go both ways: super dressed-up with elevated pants or a skirt, even a streamlined jean for a night out. Keep the shoes and bag simple so they don’t compete with the neckline.
Hope these tips helped! Remember, we are just a phone call, message or drive away.
