What’s the plan…daydreaming on beaches, meandering through the cobblestone streets, or wasting away in Margaritaville…
We’ve got you covered…let’s pack up together!
Starting summer right is as easy as these 5 essentials that everyone should add to their closet. The name of the game this summer? Keep cool in breezy pieces that can take you from work to weekend, or day to night in a snap. Stock up with these 5 pieces…
Flowy Tops & Tees
Skip the skin-tight tops this summer and keep it cool with flowing silhouettes that don’t put any pressure on your style (literally!). Stockpile breathable summer fabrics in loose knits and breezy wovens that you can move, shake and dance in! Whether it’s a neutral color or bold pop-color, pair your breeziest tees with simple, lightweight bottom layers like: chambray pants, lightweight denim, midi-skirts and your favorite maxis.
Find you a bag to do everything this summer—we personally dig a summer carryall. Literally, carry it all in this season’s totes and crossbody bags. From a roomy tote to house everything you need to an essentials-only crossbody, updating your handbag closet for the easiest way to spruce up your everyday look.
Breezy Dresses and Rompers
Looking for a “get ready in 5” piece? Reach for a romper or an easy, breezy dress to make summer dressing a snap. We love them for their weekend versatility and wearability—from the beach, to errands, to everything in-between, pair them with your comfiest sneakers or most stylish wedges for date-night to traveling light.
It’s all about texture this season—from head to toe! Choose touchable textures for your shoe closet with embroidered details, luxe leather, tassels and even eye-catching embellishments. Add some effortless appeal to a classic T-shirt and shorts outfit with a pair of textured shoes!

We can all agree that there’s no better time to invest in some new tops than the summer season. After a long winter huddled beneath a coat, all a fashion girl wants to do is wear a cute top, are we right?
The invites have landed, now it’s time to find the dress…
With wedding season upon us, it’s time to work on your guest outfits.
There were plenty of spring summer designs on the catwalks that were the stuff of wedding dreams, but if you can’t afford Dior or Preen, then you’ll be pleased to know that the pretty sheer details, embroidery and frills which were trending on the runways have filtered down to the House of Intrigue!
Dear Annette & Debbie, Off-the-shoulder tops and dresses are practically everywhere, and while I love the shape, I wonder if it’s too late for me to commit to the trend. Is it on its way out? Is there a way I can make it feel fresh? —Morgan W.
Dear Morgan, We are of the belief that the cold shoulder isn’t going anywhere—and for good reason: it’s feminine, creates a beautiful silhouette, and elevates everything from cutoffs to jeans to dresses. The other good news is that there are so many fresh iterations of the trend, whether you want to keep it demure or pump up the volume, there’s something for every comfort level here at Intrigue.
If you’re apprehensive about revealing too much for the office, or just like to keep it simple, opt for a top or dress that shows off subtle slivers of collarbone and décolletage. Pair with a platform shoe and add a dramatic earring to finish.
Straps, ruffles, and asymmetrical details are the next step. Ultimately, these necklines are more festive and make the most sense in a dressed up scenario; you’ll want to balance the intricate details with subdued classics—pencil skirts work particularly well, even denim.
We love the drama here. These elaborate blouses can go both ways: super dressed-up with elevated pants or a skirt, even a streamlined jean for a night out. Keep the shoes and bag simple so they don’t compete with the neckline.
Hope these tips helped! Remember, we are just a phone call, message or drive away.
